Benefits Coconut for Health ?

all parts of the coconut palm are useful, from tip of leaf until root. The coconut palm is grown in many countries with tropical climate. Coconut palms require warm conditions for successful growth, and are intolerant of cold weather. Optimum growth is with a mean annual temperature of 27°C (80.6°F), and growth is reduced below 21°C (69.8°F).Coconut palm use for health, culinary, non culinary, decoration, some benefit for another mortal in the world.

There are benefit part of coconut palm :

1.      Roots

Normally palm tree has neither tap root nor root hairs, but coconut tree has a fibrous root system. Coconut root mostly use for handicraft, firewood and inspiration of technology prop of scrawl building (use for Soekarno Hatta airport,Indonesia construction) also use for a dye, a mouthwash, dysentery and toothbrush.

2.      Coconut Wood / Gelugu

Coconut wood / gelugu has several applications, particularly used in furniture and construction ( to build house, gazebo, bungalow, terrace, canopy, traditional building, etc)

3.      Coconut Leaf

The stiff leaflet midribs can be used to make cooking skewers, kindling arrows, or are bound into bundles, brooms and brushes. The mid-rib of the coconut leaf is used as a tongue-cleaner. Its leaf use as house roof after dried. In Indonesia, young coconut leaf use for handicraft (which matting in making of Ketupat or various decoration form, especially by java society and bali in traditional ceremony)

4.      Coconut Fruit

The part of coconut fruit are exocarp, mesocarp(the husk), endocarp(the inner stone), testa, meat, water. Every part have some benefit, mesocarp/husk use for fibers material, fuel, filler material in furniture or car seat, handicraft/matting, plant media to orchid.

Endocarp / inner stone use for fuel, handicraft material and drinking tools. Adhering to the inside wall of the endocarp is the testa, with a thick albuminous endosperm (the coconut "meat"), the white and fleshy edible part of the seed.

Coconut meat particularly used for culinary (like make for coconut milk and cooking material) and for healthy/medicine purpose. The meat in a young coconut is softer and more gelatinous than a mature coconut, so much so, that it is sometimes known as coconut jelly. coconut meal also use for Virgin coconut Oil material.

Young Coconut Water used for coconut water / energy drink/refreshing drinks are called tender coconuts and isotonic sport drinks. Young coconut water contains sugar, fiber, antioxidants, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Coconut water provides an isotonic electrolyte balance, and is a highly nutritious food source. Mature coconut water used for Nata de coco and mixture material for refreshing drinks.

Below some tips to use coconut for medicine purpose:

a.      Poisoned

Materials: 1 young coconut fruit

Way of making: make hole in the end of coconut fruit

Way of using: drank young coconut water until finished

b.      Sprue

Material: 1 young coconut fruit and 1 chicken egg

Way of making: make hole in the end of coconut fruit and then input chicken egg

Way of using: drank at day time

c.       Hot pain

Materials: 1 glass young coconut water and 1 spoon honey

Way of making: stir young coconut water and honey until flatten

Way of using: for adult: drink 2 times per day (morning and evening)

                       For baby: drink 2 times per day, ½ cup

d.      Dengue Haemorrhagic fever

Materials: 1 coconut fruit and 1 lime

Way of making: pressed lime for get water lime, then pouring that into coconut fruit and stir until flatten.

Way of using: drink 2 times one day, morning and evening

e.      Influenza

Materials: ¼ coconut fruit and 1 greater galingale rhizome

Way of making: coconut fruit and greater galingale grated, then mix until flatten and add 1 glass mineral water and pressed to get coconut milk.

Way of using: drink 1 times one day

f.        Holey Toothache

Materials: endocarp / the inner stone

Way of making: burn endocarp, use secretory oil from endocarp burning process and taken with cotton furled equal to hole tooth.
